I like understanding how things work all the way down, so I study computer systems, build networking and security tools, and teach what I learn along the way. Grew up in Gaza, Palestine; spent my undergrad and master's at Stanford on computer systems and other cool things; now writing code at Corridor.
Now
- Starting as a software engineer at Corridor.
- Still building debugger.sh, which compiles, runs, and debugs C/C++, Rust, and Python entirely in a browser tab. It's live, and the paper is under review at SIGCSE TS 2027.
- Just wrapped up my master's at Stanford, along with my last quarter teaching CS155.

- debugger.sh LiveNow
An engine that compiles, runs, and debugs C/C++, Rust, and Python entirely in the browser. No server, no install. Live at debugger.sh.
- LLMs for Content Moderation Published at ICWSM2024
Can you just ask GPT to moderate a subreddit? We tested it on 95 real Reddit communities and found out where it works and where it quietly fails.
- History-Aware Phishing Detection Senior Project2025
Your browsing history is a surprisingly good security perimeter. I built a browser extension that uses it to catch phishing sites, entirely on your own machine.
- Replicating BitTorrent PropShare2025
BitTorrent is not tit-for-tat, it is an auction. We tried to replicate the fix, and had to rebuild a decade-dead global testbed on AWS to do it.
- P2P Protocol Resilience2025
We stress-tested BitTorrent until it fell over, and found a cliff at 10% packet loss, a protocol that hates volatility, and swarms that get worse as they grow.
Teaching
Teaching is one of my favorite things. There's something special about the moment when something clicks for someone. It never gets old.

Computer Systems and Organization, the class that lured me into systems in the first place and then the one I got to hand to other people. Two lab sections a week, which is the fastest way I know to find the holes in your own understanding of how a machine actually works.

Taught Python and design thinking to 34 high school students. Developed a 2-year curriculum based on Stanford d.school's approach. Code.X is a Stanford alumni-run org that brings CS education to developing countries.

Music
I sing and play the oud with the Stanford Middle East Ensemble, which I led for a stretch. Music has always been how I connect with my roots and share that culture with others. Watch our latest concert →
Arabic Debate
I led the Stanford Arabic Debate Team and competed in tournaments across the country, and we built something I'm genuinely proud of. These days I'm on the other side of the table, judging rounds instead of arguing them.
